Tremblay Homestead

Rooted in family, growing the dream. Est. 2022.

We're Amber and Alan Tremblay, and we're building a family homestead from the ground up — one renovation project, one garden bed, and one very determined plan at a time.

This is where we share the build: the house, the land, the animals, and everything we're growing toward.

Now: Moving in & renovating Arriving with the move: Goats, sheep & one little piglet Coming 2027: Farm stand & sourdough microbakery

Welcome to our corner of Monson

✦

We're a family of seven building a homestead on a little more than 16 acres in Monson, Massachusetts. Tremblay Homestead started in 2022 as a dream we kept coming back to — a place where our kids could grow up close to the land, where we could grow and raise more of our own food, and where hard work turns into something real, one season at a time.

Right now, we're in the thick of the beginning: renovating the house, learning our land, and getting everything ready for the animals and gardens that come next. Our back boundary runs along protected wildlife sanctuary land, so the woods behind us stay woods. We share the real version here — the wins, the mess, the projects that take three times longer than planned — because that's what building a homestead with five kids actually looks like.

Alan leads the building and renovation work. Amber leads the planning, gardens, baking, and the thousand lists that hold it all together. The kids pitch in at their own level, usually with snacks involved.

How we build: animal welfare first, family safety always, and nothing bigger than we can care for well.

What we're doing right now

✦

We closed on the land this fall, and this season is all beginnings: a farmhouse mid-renovation, a move in progress, and a whole lot of lists.

The House

Alan is renovating the farmhouse room by room — including the original wide-plank pine floors we found hiding under the vinyl, now slated for a dark walnut stain. The barn is getting cleaned out and put back to work.

The First Animals

Arriving as we move in: three goats (including a milking doe), two ewe lambs for our daughter's 4-H project, and one very small American Guinea Hog piglet. Shelters, fencing, hay, and heated water come first — in that order.

The Land & Gardens

A little more than 16 acres to learn: where the water runs, where the sun lands, what the soil needs. This winter is for planning beds, fence lines, and animal spaces so spring can start on time.

This season's work: move in, get the animals settled before the deep cold, and plan the spring gardens down to the last fence post.
The Crew

Meet the animals

✦

The reason for all of it. The first residents arrive with the move; the rest are 2027's hatchlings and plans.

Burnie & the Goats

Three goats move in with us: Burnie, our trained milking doe — already bred, so spring kids are on the calendar — plus a young doe and a wether kid. Milk, cheese experiments, and world-class antics to follow.

Ren's Ewe Lambs

Two wool-breed ewe lambs, born last spring, are our daughter Serinity's 4-H project and the start of her own flock. This year: halter-breaking, wool, and learning. Lambs of their own are a 2028 story.

Reika's Piglet

One tiny American Guinea Hog gilt, claimed by our 4-year-old. She's a keeper and a future mama — our pork plans begin with her litters, a few years from now. First order of business: Reika picks her name.

The Future Flocks

2027 is poultry year: laying hens, Silkies, quail, heritage turkeys, and guinea fowl, hatched and raised right here from our first generation. The hatchery corner of the barn is where every flock starts.

Next Year

Coming in 2027

✦

Once we're settled and the animals and gardens are established, here's where Tremblay Homestead grows next:

Roadside Farm Stand

Seasonal produce, farm eggs, and homemade goods from our corner of Monson.

Sourdough Microbakery

Small-batch sourdough and baked goods, made right here — the baking Amber has been known for all along, finally with a farm stand to sell it from. When we open, pre-orders will live right here on this page.

Eggs & Seasonal Goods

Farm eggs, garden extras, herbs, flowers, and whatever the season is generous with.

An honest note: none of this is open yet. Nothing is for sale, we're not taking orders, and there are no events to book. 2027 is the plan — follow along and you'll know the moment that changes.
Help Us Choose

Help us bake the menu

✦

The microbakery opens in 2027, and the menu is still being written — literally. Loaves, cookies, muffins — these are the bakes we're deciding between: vote for the ones you'd drive out for, and use the last box to tell us what we're missing. Everything comes from our tree-nut-free kitchen.

When pre-orders open right here on this page, voters are the first to know.

The Vision

Where we're headed

✦

The long-term picture: a working family farm that feeds our family first and our neighbors second — and a place people can come learn, taste, and slow down for an afternoon. We're building toward it one honest season at a time.

Now · 2026

Foundations

Move in, renovate, welcome the first animals, and learn the land through its first winter with us.

Next · 2027

The farm stand year

First real gardens, our own poultry flocks hatched and raised right here, and — the big one — the roadside farm stand and sourdough microbakery open their doors.

The Dream · Beyond

A farm that gathers people

Orchard rows and bigger gardens, more animals as the land and our time allow, and someday days when you can visit — feed the goats, peek into the hatchery, and pick out chicks to start a flock of your own. That's the picture on the wall — everything above is how we get there.
